We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Farm Manager to oversee all aspects of our poultry farming operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily farm activities, ensuring the health and productivity of the poultry, and implementing best practices for farm management.
Requirements:
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Animal Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a poultry or agricultural setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proven experience in managing large or medium scale poultry operations, including broilers, layers, or breeders.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Comprehensive knowledge of poultry farming practices, including feeding, breeding, health management, and biosecurity protocols.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to supervise and motivate farm staff.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in farm management software and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily farm operations, including feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of the poultry.
- Develop and implement farm management plans to ensure optimal productivity and animal welfare.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including production data, health records, and inventory.
- Implement and oversee biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Coordinate with veterinarians, nutritionists, and other specialists to maintain the health and productivity of the flock.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various conditions, including exposure to different weather conditions, dust, and farm environments.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and handle farm equipment.
